Mathis arranged a cooking class and sunset tour of Sorrento bay. What fun!
Our semi-private cooking class taught us how to cook gnocchi (potato pasta), eggplant parmigiana, and tiramisu for dessert. The great news is that we got to eat everything we cooked! Even better is that we got to enjoy Italian wine while cooking.
Our chef, Silvia, was patient with our ignorance and clumsy fingers. Finally, she laughed and said, “Let me show you <again>.”
Then, since Mathis walked around Sorrento’s side streets ad cliff-side streets more than I did, he took me on a sunset walk before dinner. It was fabulous!
The following day, we took the train from Sorrento to Naples, then Naples to Rome.
